About This Action
Amidst a rise in antisemitism, Jewish schools, synagogues, and other institutions need to be protected. Take action to secure our communities by writing to your state officials.
In the weeks since Oct. 7, we have experienced a rise in antisemitic incidents and threats right here in our communities. Numerous yeshivas and Jewish day schools have been forced to close on days following threats, parents have kept their children home, and Jewish institutions have had to pay out of pocket for increased security and private guards.
In response, New Jersey's Senator Joseph Cryan and Assemblywoman Annette Quijano have introduced legislation to DOUBLE the New Jersey Nonprofit Security Grant Program to $14,000,000 from last year’s budget appropriation of $7,000,000, bolstering the security and preparedness of nonprofit organizations, including yeshivas and Jewish day schools.
Fill out and send this letter to New Jersey's legislator urging them to take action, sign on to this bill, and provide this vital funding to our institutions.
